If you are renting one of our Armona Island villas or beach houses and you are interested in the environment you can venture out with King Chamaeleon tours.

Based on Armona Island and run by a young ecologist Nuno Marques, King Chamaeleon offer tours to spot birds, marine wildlife and flora and fauna in the Ria Formosa National Park. You also get the chance to see chameleons and Portuguese water dogs which have webbed feet!

The Ria Formosa National Park is one of the major flyways of migratory birds which makes it a perfect area for birdwatching at all levels. Venturing out onto the high seas gives you a chance to spot dolphins and periodically even whales and turtles!

All tours and schedules are dependent on tides and weather. There are special discounts for children, they go free if they are 5 years old or less and there is a 50% discount if they are aged between 6 - 10 years old. All the tours have a guide biologist to answer any questions you may have and goggles, field guides, telescopes and snorkeling gear are available on all tours.
